"Summer afternoon -

summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language."  Henry James
I love this quote. Summer is such a fun time to be laid back and just enjoy the lazy days of summer.

We love hiking in Glacier National Park.

A field of Glacier Lilies.

A view of Wild Goose Island - the opening shot in the movie "The Shining".

We got a new puppy this summer! Her name is Lucy!

Something fun for you this summer - a giveaway! Leave a comment and you might be the lucky winner of our new book Summer at the Lake! We'll post the winner in about 10 days.

Happy Summer!
Susan and Sally

Love the ants! The scenic photos are beautiful. One day I just may make it to Montana, though I don't think I could handle your winters :). I moved from central NY to AZ some years ago because of the winters and we didn't have them as bad as you! Congrats on the the new book! Isn't it great to see all your hard work in print?

Video was outstanding!! Loved that little gal modeling the hat, she's really cute. Marching ants was a really cute idea. I'm interested to see some new twists on the old standards, I think that's how you put it.
Good luck with your new book, I know if I don't win the one you give away I'll be ordering one soon.

It was so wonderful to see all those beautiful pictures of Montana. I live in upstate NY where Hurricane Irene made a visit, so I enjoyed the picture show! The short segment of what I saw from the book has me very interested, the quilts look like something that I would love to tackle. Thanks for the uplight!!

Quilt books are so inspiring. I love the story of taking the pics for the book - made me laugh! I'd love to have a copy for my library. I think my grandsons will get a giggle out of the ants. Two of them are five and one is just a baby. In bright colors and safety features, one might a great toy for him.
You inspire me to create. Thank you. Hope I win a book and, regardless, it will be the right person who does indeed win the book. Seems like it always works out that way! It'll come at a time when someone really needs it for some reason.
