Our Giveaway!

We are giving away a copy of our book Summer at the Lake Quilts.

We are so pleased with all the wonderful comments we have received about our book. The photos were taken here in Montana on Swan Lake in August of 2010. Every time I walk by the book and see the cover, it brings back vivid memories of that warm summer day spent with Sally and Mom, and my sons, Wyatt and Jesse, who took the photos for us. While the guys were setting up the camera, the rest of us were setting up the shots which involved wading in the lake, setting up a picnic, and placing ants in position. Which brings me to the second half of our giveaway - one of our Picnic Ant Pincushions!

We have had such a fun reaction to our whimsical ants! Be the lucky winner by commenting on this blog post, and we'll pick a winner on Saturday, December 10th. If we don't hear from the winner by Monday, the 12th, we'll pick another name.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Susan and Sally

You "Summer at the Lake Quilts" Book is so beautiful. It reminds me of the summers I used to spend at Lake Memphremagog in Vermont. I wish I could create such beautiful quilts as you have in the book. Perhaps one day I will. Good luck.

Oh my gosh, how adorable is that ant pincushion!!! I would LOVE to have him.
I just found your book on another blog so I searched out your blog to see if you had more info about your book here and lucky me, you have a giveaway for your awesome looking book.

And that ant!? OH MY GOSH! My MIL would just adore him. She has a huge ant statue in her yard. That thing is about 4 feet high and maybe 10 feet long. He's just adorable. A few years ago someone stole him from their yard and she was just devastated. But, the police were able to locate him again for her about four months later. I mean, really? WHAT were those people thinking to steal something that surely is a one of a kind in their area and not think they'd get caught. HA You just don't have something that large inside your house so they obviously had to put it into their yard which then became their downfall. LOL She was just thrilled to have him back again although they had to rent a truck to get him back to their house. So that's the story about why I sounded so excited to see your adorable pincushion. I love him too though so it would be very hard to give him to her but I would just because she is such an awesome MIL who loves me and has never said one bad word about me or to me. She deserves it and would be so excited to have him in her sewing room, especially since she just moved her sewing room and just LOVES it so much more now. She had to show it off the last trip over there to hubby. I can't do stairs because of my disability but hubby took pics on his phone to show me. I know she would find a place for him.
oops. sorry I am a new one to your blog and here I am going on and on and on...yea, I'm kinda chatty like that. Sorry. Shutting up now. LOL

What a wonderful lake picture! It reminds me of when I was a kid -- every summer we spent one week at the lake and all we did was swim, walk around the lake, roast marshmallows, and swim. Did I mention that we'd swim? It looks like a great book.

The ant is so cute! I'm not a fan of ants, but there's something about him......

Thank you for the giveaway. :)
