We have been posting about our new book, Sew a Backyard Adventure, but I'm not sure that we mentioned that 2 of the 6 chapters include bedroom sets. Chapter 4 is all about our Meadow Path Quilt that is a fun quilted field study of animal footprints, flowers, bugs, and bird's eggs!
This quilt is so much fun to make and so easy as we've combined simple nine-patch blocks and nature-inspired raw-edge appliques. The wording is embroidered using a basic back-stitch. We made ours with a girl in mind, but take off the flower appliques and use a more boyish color scheme and it would be a great boy's quilt too. We've included a sweet matching pillow sham, dust ruffle, and throw pillow to make a truly one-of-a-kind Meadow Path bedroom set.
Talk later,
Susan and Sally
