Fly Away

We're in love with our very fashionable bird pincushion and needle-keep. We placed her in a stylish little bird nest and lined it with pretty scraps from our stash. A bluebird graces our pattern cover, but we didn't stop there. We made robins, finches, and invented our own birds with the use of colorful fabrics. Fly Away Home is available as a paper pattern and as a PDF download. The directions for this pattern include full color how-to photos.

Our cute little robin pincushion made her nest in an antique bowl.

Wouldn't you love having a pretty bird of your own to alight on your sewing table?

Talk later,
Susan and Sally

This little bird and the name of the pattern, “Fly Away Home” brought back memories of the spring robins at my childhood home in the mountains of Idaho.
